Artists notes: I named this sculpture after Kaa the python, a character in Rudyard Kiplings Jungle Book. It is carved from Yellow Wave
Pyrophyllite from Japan. This type of stone is also called wonderstone. The snakes eyes are gold-plated amethyst. I carved his tongue out
of an unidentified pink rock. I plan to make a granite base for this sculpture sometime soon...
